Privacy policy · Updated September 24, 2026
Your information, explained.
RoleDesk is operated by Jashanveer Singh. This policy explains the website, Google sign-in, and optional connections in the RoleDesk Mac app. Contact mailforjashanveer@gmail.com for privacy questions or requests.
Website and account information
When you sign in with Google, RoleDesk receives your verified Google identifier, name, and email address. We use them to create and recognize your account and connect the Mac app. Google sign-in alone does not provide access to Gmail.
The account service stores that identity, the date the account was created, temporary sign-in records, and hashed session identifiers. Essential, secure cookies keep the website signed in for up to 30 days; a temporary sign-in cookie lasts up to 10 minutes. Signing out revokes the current session.
Hosting providers process network information such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the service. The account service uses short-lived, hashed IP rate-limit records to prevent sign-in abuse. Cloudflare provides website and download delivery and hosts the account service; Fly.io hosts the separate waitlist service. The homepage also loads fonts from Google Fonts. These providers may maintain their own operational logs.
If you join the waitlist, we store your email address to send launch and early-access updates. Contact us to leave the waitlist or delete that information. Joining the waitlist does not create an account.
Information in the Mac app
Your profile, resume, application history, and documents are stored on your Mac. AI provider keys are kept in macOS Keychain. The website account service does not receive your resume, application history, AI keys, or Gmail tokens.
Using an online feature sends the information needed for that feature to the service involved. For example, matching and document preparation send relevant profile and job information to your selected AI provider; submitting an application sends answers and documents to the employer or its application service. Enable only the connections and automation permissions you want to use.
Optional Gmail connection
Gmail is a separate, optional connection inside the Mac app. With your permission, RoleDesk reads email and threads for job-related reply tracking and can send outreach or replies. After connection, RoleDesk automatically imports job-related Gmail history. While the app runs, it also checks inbox messages from the last day about every five minutes to recognize application updates and replies. The import and these checks can send each message’s sender, subject, and opening text (up to 4,000 characters) to your selected AI provider for classification. Review that provider’s data handling and your spending limits before connecting. Connecting Gmail does not turn on automatic sending; email execution has separate permissions and limits. Gmail authorization tokens are stored in local files on your Mac, separately from website sign-in. They are not stored in the website account service or protected by app-level encryption.
RoleDesk uses Google user data to provide the features you enable. RoleDesk does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train general-purpose AI models. RoleDesk’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs must follow the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Public Gmail access remains subject to Google’s review; website sign-in does not mean Gmail has been approved.
Sharing and your choices
Information is shared with the hosting, identity, AI, email, and employer services necessary for the features you choose. Their privacy and retention terms also apply to the information they receive. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the service from abuse.
You can turn the email channel Off in the Mac app, quit RoleDesk, sign out, and remove RoleDesk’s access from your Google Account connections. Revoking access prevents future authorized requests but does not recall applications or messages already sent.
Retention and deletion
We retain your account identity while your account exists. You can delete it from your account page or request help by email. Deletion removes the active account identity and revokes its website and Mac sign-in sessions. A minimal receipt containing a random account identifier and deletion time is retained so old database backups can be restored without restoring deleted accounts.
Hosting backups may retain older records until they expire. Account deletion does not delete your waitlist entry, files on your Mac, information held by connected providers, or applications and messages already sent. It does not remotely pause local automation. See deletion and disconnection instructions.
Requests and policy changes
Contact mailforjashanveer@gmail.com to request access, correction, or deletion of information held by RoleDesk. We may ask you to verify account ownership before acting. Privacy rights depend on where you live. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
